“Knots”

It’s funny how “knots” seems to be everyone’s first thought about an activity for our first meeting. I confess I’ve forgotten some of them, but this is an opportunity to brush up. I’m compiling a list of possibilities for meeting activities–including field trips and speakers–that I would like to give the Scouts to spark interest and their own ideas about what we can do together.

One slight concern I have is that I may not be readily available for weekend activities on Saturdays for the next several weeks. I have two major commitments in September, and then the October 6 training, plus, as of yesterday afternoon, it looks likely that I will be moving in late September or early October (and, I hope, starting back to work). I wonder if it is frowned upon or otherwise bad practice to schedule group activities on Sunday afternoons.
